Morocco Retains CHAN Title as King Mohammed VI Congratulates National Team
King Mohammed VI congratulated coach Houcine Ammouta by phone for the good performance of the national team in Yaoundé. The local players have just won the African Nations Championship for the second consecutive time (CHAN 2021).
In this telephone conversation, the sovereign charged Houcine Ammouta with conveying his warm congratulations to all the players and to the members of the technical and administrative staff of the national team. He also expressed his pride in this great achievement for Moroccan sport.
On Sunday, Morocco won a second consecutive title by beating Mali in the final (2-0). Already winners in 2018, the Atlas Lions become the first selection to win the competition twice in a row.
