Morocco Retains African Nations Championship Title, Makes CHAN History

A few hours after the crowning of the Atlas Lions at the African Nations Championship (CHAN-2021), the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) celebrated the Moroccan national team on its website, recognizing that "The lions remain kings".
"Crowned at home in 2018, Morocco has won the CAF African Nations Championship for the second consecutive time, a continental competition reserved only for players playing on the Mother Continent," the global body continued on its website.
"The first team in history to succeed itself on this throne, Morocco signed an almost perfect journey, putting aside the draw conceded against Rwanda in the second group stage match (0-0)," the same source specifies before adding: "If it has only conceded three goals, it is above all offensively that it has been able to make the difference, carried by a Soufiane Rahimi on fire. Elected best player and top scorer of the tournament, the winger of Raja Casablanca scored five of the 15 Moroccan goals. He did not score in the final, however, leaving the spotlight to his goalkeeper Anas Zniti, impressive in the cages and named man of the match".
