Morocco Reports Record 63 COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours, Total Toll Nears 4,000

63 people died in the last 24 hours in Morocco due to the coronavirus, the Ministry of Health reports. With these figures, the kingdom has recorded 3,826 deaths since the first cases of Covid-19 were reported in March.
The Oriental region has 14 deaths, including 5 in Nador, 4 in Oujda-Angad, 2 in Tourirt, 1 in Berkane, 1 in Guercif and 1 in Driouch. It is followed by the Greater Casablanca-Settat region with 10 deaths, all in Casablanca.
In the Souss-Massa region, the coronavirus killed 9 patients, including 3 in Taroudannt, 2 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Inezgane-Ait Melloul, 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 1 in Tiznit.
Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima and Marrakech-Safi each recorded 8 deaths. While Tetouan reported 4 deaths against 3 in Al Hoceima and 1 in Larache, Rehamna, Essaouira and Marrakech recorded 4, 3 and 1 deaths respectively.
Beni Mellal-Khenifra has 4 deaths with 2 in Khouribga and 2 in Khenifra. Fez-Meknes also has 4 deaths, including 3 in Taza and 1 in Fez. Rabat-Salé-Kenitra and Daraa-Tafilalet each report 3 deaths. Rabat, Sidi Kacem and Sidi Slimane each recorded 1 death, while Tinghir recorded 3 deaths.
As for Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, it has 1 death in Laayoune.
