Morocco Reports 66 COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours, Total Toll Reaches 4,697

66 people have succumbed to the coronavirus, announced the Ministry of Health. The number of people who have died from Covid-19 now stands at 4,697 since the start of the epidemic last March.

The Greater Casablanca-Settat region recorded 18 deaths, including 15 in Casablanca, 2 in Benslimane and 1 in El Jadida. The Oriental and Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima regions each reported 8 deaths. While Nador recorded 3 deaths against 2 in Oujda-Angad, 2 in Taourirt and 1 in Berkane, Larache announced 5 deaths against 2 in Tangier-Assilah and 1 death in Tétouan.

In Marrakech-Safi, the coronavirus killed 7 patients, including 5 people in Marrakech, 1 person in Essaouira and 1 person in Rehamna. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Béni Mella-Khénifra each announced 6 deaths with 2 deaths in Skhirate-Témara, 2 in Kénitra and 2 in Rabat. As for Khourigba, it recorded 4 deaths against 1 in Fquih Ben Salah and 1 in Béni Mellal.

In the Fès-Meknès region, 4 people died, including one person in Fès, one in Taounate, one in Meknès and one person in Boulemane. In the Guelmin-Oued Noun region, only two deaths were recorded, both in Guelmin.
