Morocco’s COVID-19 Death Toll Surpasses 5,000 as 81 New Fatalities Reported

After the recording of 81 deaths, the number of people who have succumbed to the coronavirus in Morocco rises to 5,013 since the start of the epidemic in March last year.
The Greater Casablanca-Settat region is still at the top of the cities most affected by Covid-19. It records 19 deaths, including 18 in Casablanca and 1 in Nouaceur. In the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, 13 patients died. Rabat has 4 deaths against 3 in Salé, 2 in Skhirate-Témara, 2 in Sidi Slimane, 1 in Sidi Kacem and 1 other in Kénitra. It is followed by Souss-Massa, which reports 12 deaths, including 4 in Inezgane-Ait Melloul, 3 in Taroudant, 2 in Tiznit, 2 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima announces 9 deaths with 3 in Tétouan, 2 in Tanger, 2 in Ouezzane, 1 in Larache and 1 in Al Hoceima. Marrakech-Safi and Fès-Meknès each record 8 deaths. While Marrakech and Youssoufia recorded 3 deaths against 1 in Chichaoua, Fès announces 2 deaths against 2 in Taounate, 1 in Taza, 1 in Sefrou, 1 in Ifrane and 1 in El Hajeb.
Just like the Oriental, Béni Mellal-Khénifra has 5 deaths with 2 in Oujda-Angad, 2 in Berkane and 1 in Driouch. As for Béni Mellal, it recorded 2 deaths against 1 in Khénifra, 1 in Khourigba and 1 in Fquih Ben Salah. As for Guelmim and Es-Semara, they each have 1 death respectively in Guelmin-Oued Noun and in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
