Morocco Reports 50 COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours, Total Fatalities Rise to 6,542

The coronavirus has claimed 50 lives in the last 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the number of people who have died to 6,542 since the first case was recorded in the country in March.
In the Greater Casablanca-Settat region, there are 16 deaths, including 15 in Casablanca and 1 in Mediouna. It is followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and the Oriental region, each with 6 deaths. In Rabat, there are 2 deaths, compared to 1 in Salé, 1 in Skhirate-Témara, 1 in Kénitra and 1 in Khémisset. Berkane reports 3 deaths, compared to 1 in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Taourit and 1 in Guercif.
Souss-Massa and Marrakech-Safi each record 5 deaths. Tata reports 3 deaths, compared to 1 in Tiznit and 1 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane. As for Marrakech, it records 4 deaths, compared to 1 in Al Haouz. As for Drâa-Tafilalet, it records 4 deaths with 2 in Tinghir, 1 in Errachidia and 1 in Midelt. As for Fez-Meknes, it shows 2 deaths in Taza, compared to 1 in Fez.
In the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima and Béni Mellal-Khénifra regions, two people died respectively in Fquih Ben Salah and Azilal, as well as in Tanger-Assilah and Chefchaouen. Only 1 person succumbed to the coronavirus in Guelmim in the Guelmim-Oued-Noun region.
