Morocco Reports 56 New COVID-19 Deaths, Casablanca Hardest Hit

Covid-19 has killed 56 people in the last 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of deaths recorded since the start of Covid-19 in March last year to 7,086.
The Casablanca-Settat region recorded 30 deaths, including 29 in Casablanca and 1 in Benslimane. It is followed by Marrakech-Safi, which announced 7 deaths with 4 in Marrakech and 3 in Youssoufia. Covid-19 caused 5 deaths in the Oriental region with 3 deaths in Berkane and 2 in Oujda-Angad. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hociema and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follow. While Rabat alone recorded 4 deaths, Tétouan announced 1 death against 1 in Larache, 1 in Al Hoceima and 1 in Ouezzane.
The Souss-Massa and Fès-Meknès regions each reported 2 deaths, including 1 in Inezgane-Ait Melloul, 1 in Tiznit, 1 in Fès and 1 in Meknès. As for Daraâ-Tafilalet and Laâyoune-Sakia-El Hamra, they each recorded 1 death, respectively in Errachidia and Laâyoune.
