Morocco Reports 82 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Reaches 8,692

82 people tested positive for the coronavirus in Morocco in the last 24 hours, according to figures released this evening by the Ministry of Health, bringing the total number of cases to 8,692, or a rate of 24/100,000 inhabitants.
Regarding the regions, 59 cases were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 11 cases in Marrakech-Safi, 10 in Casablanca-Settat and one case each in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and in the Oriental region.
As for the number of deaths due to covid-19, it stands at 212 since last March, with no cases recorded since yesterday in the country. The fatality rate is currently 2.4%, continuing to decline for several weeks.
As for the recoveries, since yesterday, 78 have been recorded in Morocco for a total of 7,696. The recovery rate is 88.5%, the ministry indicates.
