Morocco Reports 63 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Reaches 12,596

63 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded since last night in Morocco, the Ministry of Health has just announced during its traditional morning conference. Since last March, the number of cases in the kingdom has reached 12,596.
Here are the details of the Covid-19 infections in the different regions:
• Casablanca-Settat: +5
• Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima: +5
• Rabat Salé Kenitra: +9
• Marrakech Safi: +11
• Fès-Meknès: +19
• Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra: +6
• Oriental: +6
• Souss-Massa: +1
• Guelmim Oued Noun: +1
• Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab: +1
Here are the other figures to remember:
• No deaths were recorded. Total at 228. Fatality rate at 1.81%
• 8,471 tests. Total at 677,129.
• 5 patients under treatment. Total at 3,390.
• 58 new recoveries. Total at 8,978. Recovery rate at 71.28%
While Morocco is beginning the deconfinement of the population, we have been witnessing an alarming increase in the number of infections for several days now. However, the health authorities reassure that the high number is due to the multiplication of tests in companies. Moreover, according to them, a very large majority of them would be asymptomatic.
The ministry calls on Moroccans to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
