Morocco Reports 73 New COVID-19 Cases Across 7 Regions, Total Infections Rise to 8,224

Morocco recorded 73 new infections this Sunday at 6 p.m. The total number of infections now stands at 8,224.
In total, 7 regions were affected by these new cases: Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 25 new infections against 15 for Marrakech-Safi and 13 for Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima. Casablanca-Settat and Fès-Meknès each have 7 new cases, followed by Béni-Mellal-Khénifra (+5) and Souss-Massa (+1).
Only 49 recoveries were recorded in 24 hours in the kingdom against zero deaths recorded for two days.
With these new increases in infections, Morocco is moving away from deconfinement. After two extensions, Morocco could extend, next Wednesday, the state of health emergency and confinement.
