Morocco Reports 89 New Coronavirus Cases, Majority in Casablanca Region

89 coronavirus infections were recorded in Morocco since yesterday, according to figures just released by the Ministry of Health. The vast majority of contaminations come, once again, from the Casablanca region.
Since the count yesterday afternoon, the economic capital and its region have recorded 64 new infections. Then come the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region with 16 new cases, then Rabat (4), Marrakech (3) and Fès (2).
With these new figures, Morocco’s balance sheet now stands at 7,300 contaminations. One death has also been recorded since last night, bringing the total to 197, or 2.7% fatality.
Regarding recoveries, 67 people have fully recovered from covid-19 for a total of 4,347 since the start of the epidemic in March. It should also be noted that Morocco is approaching 10,000 tests performed per day.
