Morocco Reports 42 New Coronavirus Cases, Total Infections Rise to 8,734

The figures for coronavirus cases in Morocco were released this Sunday morning by the Ministry of Health on its dedicated website. Unfortunately, a sharp increase in infections in the Kingdom is noted.
42 new cases of infection have been reported since last night, bringing the total number of infections to 8,734, the ministry said, reporting the recovery of 29 people. As for the deaths, they amount to 212 people since the announcement of the first case in early March.
Here are the details of the infections and their evolution since yesterday:
• Casablanca-Settat: 2,906 (+13)
• Marrakech-Safi: 1,589 +10
• Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima: 1,343 (+9)
• Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 794 (+6)
• Béni Mellal-Khénifra: 129 (+2)
Guelmim-Oued Noun 48 +2
In addition, Morocco has carried out 1,054 tests since yesterday, bringing the total since last March to 398,260.
