Morocco Reports 221 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Rises to 11,854

The number of Covid-19 infections is still on the rise since last night in Morocco, according to the Ministry of Health. Since the report on Friday afternoon, 221 new cases have been reported, bringing the total to 11,854.
Here are the details of coronavirus infections by region since last night:
• Casablanca-Settat: +55
• Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima: +53
• Rabat Salé Kenitra: +5
• Marrakech Safi: +22
• Fès-Meknès: +23
• Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra: +62
• Oriental: +1
• Guelmim Oued Noun: +1
• Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab: +2
Here are the other figures:
• 6,723 tests were carried out for a total of 615,525
• 44 people were discharged from the hospital. Total since last March: 8,700.
• 177 patients have been admitted since last night for treatment. Total: 2,936.
• The number of deaths remains at 218 (1.84% fatality rate)
Despite a sharp increase in recent days, due in particular to several epidemic outbreaks (Kénitra, Tanger and Laâyoune), the Moroccan authorities are maintaining the decision of gradual deconfinement.
