Morocco Reports 26 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Infections Rise to 7,859

Morocco has recorded 26 new infections with the new coronavirus (covid-19) since last night, according to the Ministry of Health. Since the start of the epidemic in March, 7,859 people have been affected by the virus.
In detail, the regions of Casablanca and Marrakech recorded 10 new cases each since last night; 4 new infections were noted in the Tanger-Tétouan region and one case each in Rabat and Guelmim Oued-noun.
It should be noted that 1,363 people are still currently undergoing treatment and 205 people have died from the coronavirus since last March, a fatality rate of 2.61%.
Although the number of infection cases has been declining in Morocco in recent days, the authorities are concerned about some industrial hotspots, particularly in Casablanca and Tanger, especially a week before the end of the state of emergency.
