Morocco Reports 66 Coronavirus Cases, 3 Deaths as Country Tightens Restrictions

Morocco recorded, on Friday, March 20, 3 new confirmed cases and a third death, bringing the total to 66 patients infected with the coronavirus.
According to the Ministry of Health, these three new cases are added to the 63 infected patients recorded on Thursday. In addition, a new death was also reported today, bringing the total number of people who died of Covid-19 to 3.
Faced with this growing epidemic, the Kingdom has taken strong measures against Covid-19, namely the establishment of a health emergency prohibiting any person from going out, except for a valid reason, the creation of a special fund dedicated to medical expenses related to coronavirus, the establishment of a state of vigilance and self-confinement.
It should be noted that the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region remains in the lead, with 15 cases, followed by Casablanca-Settat (14) and Fès-Meknès (12).
