Morocco Reports 50 New Coronavirus Cases, Total Rises to 275

Fifty new people have tested positive for coronavirus in Morocco. The number of infected people is now 275.
The toll of the coronavirus epidemic continues to rise in Morocco. After 55 new infections on Wednesday, the kingdom recorded 50 new infections on Thursday, bringing the total to 275 infected cases, including 10 deaths and 8 recoveries.
According to Hind Ezzine, head of the Epidemiological Diseases Department at the Ministry of Health, four new deaths were recorded, two in Marrakech, one in Rabat and one in Casablanca. This brings the number of deaths to 10.
In addition, 72% of infected people are over 40 years old and a new recovery case has been recorded, bringing the number of people declared cured to eight.
As for the regional distribution, the Casablanca-Settat region is in the lead with 87 cases. Fès-Meknès is in 2nd place with 51 cases, followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra 50 and Marrakech 43. For the moment, the regions of Laayoune-Sakia-Hamra and Dakhla-Oud Eddahab have not yet recorded any cases of contamination.
