Morocco Reports 113 New COVID-19 Cases, Tangier Region Leads Daily Increase

Morocco recorded 113 additional cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) this Friday, May 8, according to figures published by the Ministry of Health. Here are the details of the infections by region.
For once, it is not the Casablanca region where the most infections have been found since last night. It is in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma where 58 new cases have been recorded for a total of 838 cases. The economic capital and its region account, this Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m., for 41 additional cases for a total of 1,541, by far the most affected region in Morocco.
Then come the regions of Béni Mellal (6 new cases for a total of 98), Marrakech (3 new for a total of 1,142), Souss-Massa (3 new for 60 cases), Guelmim Oued Noun (2 new cases for 43 in total) and finally a new case in the Fès-Meknès region for a total of 722.
As usual, the health authorities call on citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety.
