Morocco Reopens Air Travel: Tourist Transport Sector Proposes Support Measures

The National Federation of Tourist Transport (FNTT) intends to play its part in the dynamics of the gradual return of activities in Marrakech. In this context, it has made proposals to accompany and facilitate the implementation of the government’s announcement of the resumption of flights to and from the kingdom, as of Tuesday, June 15.
In a press release, the FTTT undertakes to ensure the vaccination of all professionals in the tourist transport sector and to work to save the companies in the sector that are tending towards bankruptcy.
To this end, the players indicate that it is necessary to put in place exceptional support for the sector and the extension of the financial support granted to employees until the end of the year to alleviate the effects of the pandemic.
They also suggest granting a transitional period to adapt to the new situation, taking into account the situation experienced by tourism companies and supporting the adaptation phase to the new situation.
