Morocco’s Tourist Transport Federation Proposes Recovery Plan Amid Flight Resumption

For a good resumption of flights, the National Federation of Tourist Transport (FNTT) lists some recommendations. It wants, among other things, to participate in the decision-making concerning the sector.
While welcoming the resumption of flights announced by the government, the FNTT suggests measures to avoid any loopholes in the various organizations. It proposes that all professionals in the tourist transport sector be vaccinated, that measures be taken to help companies tending towards bankruptcy, through exceptional aid to the sector and that the financial support granted to employees be extended until the end of the year to alleviate the consequences of the health crisis.
The members of the Federation also want to be increasingly involved in the judicial bodies, in order to participate in the collective decision-making in this sense. The debts of tourist transport companies will also have to be frozen until the end of 2021. They also suggest that a transitional phase be granted so that tourist companies can adapt to the new situation.
It is also essential, according to the federation, to seriously discuss the support and continuous monitoring, pending a return to normal, and to also engage in an in-depth reflection on guaranteeing maximum protection for investors in the tourism sector and their employees.
