Morocco to Reopen Gyms with New COVID-19 Safety Measures

Gyms or fitness centers are gearing up to resume activities after several months of suspension. Safety measures have also been issued to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
During the meeting organized between the minister and the managers of the sports halls, gathered within the Moroccan Association of Fitness and Fitness Professionals, solutions have been proposed to relaunch the activity of these establishments in compliance with the conditions of safety and health prevention, reports L’Economiste. For Driss Chraibi, owner of a franchise and member of this association, he has developed a health plan that has been submitted to the ministry, which has also prepared a document in this direction. This meeting also allowed to focus on the deconfinement plan for the halls.
For the minister, the health plans must first be validated by the authorities, particularly by the Minister of Health. For the time being, no official date has been communicated. On the professional side, the resumption could take place before the end of June. In addition, there should be more visibility this Monday, the day before the expiration of the 3rd period of the state of health emergency.
While waiting for the resumption, certain measures such as marking, to ensure compliance with social distancing, disinfection of premises and equipment are already in place in these establishments. Other measures are also planned to limit the risks, such as reducing the number of participants in the various courses given in the halls.
