One hundred barracks are in the process of being moved to the suburbs. This action is part of the program to fight against substandard housing.
According to the Minister of National Defense, these barracks were located in Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech and Oujda. The operation was launched in 2018, reports Medias24.
It aims to move all the barracks to the suburbs, in order to free up the land. The minister stressed that the basic principle is that the land be transferred by the national defense at a cost price, except for imperative national interest.
