Morocco’s Regragui Eyes Bayern Munich Prodigy Aznou for National Team

The young prodigy of Bayern Munich, Adam Aznou, seems to have caught the eye of the Moroccan coach, Walid Regragui. According to consistent sources, the left-back would be on the preliminary list for the next preparation camp of the Atlas Lions in September.
This call-up, if confirmed, would be an important step in Aznou’s young career, as he could thus take his first steps with the Moroccan A team during the qualifying matches for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against Lesotho and Gabon.
Regragui sees in Aznou a potential solution to the recurring problem of the left-back position. The 17-year-old player, trained at the Masia of FC Barcelona before joining Bayern Munich in 2022, has recently gained the trust of his coach Vincent Kompany, who started him in the friendly match against Tirol on Tuesday.
This start, in a clear victory for Bayern (4-0), confirms the progress of the Moroccan player who should gradually take on more importance within the Moroccan team.
Morocco must act quickly, because Spain is watching. Also holding Spanish nationality, the young player is also courted by La Roja, who knows the disappointment of the player for not having been selected by Tarik Sektioui during the Paris Olympics, during which the Young Lions obtained the bronze medal.
