Morocco Receives Second Shipment of 1 Million FFP2 Masks for COVID-19 Healthcare Workers

The Ministry of Health received, on Saturday, May 9, a second shipment of FFP2 masks at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca. A donation from the Al Mada Foundation, these masks, intended for health personnel on the front line in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic, were manufactured in China according to the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
A first shipment of these masks had already been delivered, on Thursday, May 7, to the pharmaceutical products management service of the Ministry of Health.
According to a statement from the Foundation, the ministry will be responsible for distributing them to about fifty hospitals treating covid-19 cases, according to the specific needs of each region.
This second shipment of FFP2 masks, received at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca, completes a donation of one million units, worth several tens of millions of dirhams, the statement continues.
Through this donation, the Al Mada Foundation is pursuing its civic commitment in the fight against the health crisis caused by the coronavirus. In doing so, it demonstrates its solidarity and benevolence towards the hospital staff, who are dedicating themselves daily to caring for patients infected with covid-19, it concludes.
