Morocco Receives 2 Million Sinopharm Vaccine Doses, Expanding Vaccination to Ages 40-45

Two Royal Air Maroc planes landed this Sunday, May 23, with a new delivery of the Sinopharm vaccine. It would be two million doses, allowing the ongoing vaccination campaign to be accelerated even further.
With this new delivery, China will have delivered a total of 8.5 million doses to Morocco out of a total order of 40.5 million. A delivery that comes at a time when the Ministry of Health has announced that, as part of the national vaccination campaign against the new coronavirus, the vaccination operation has been expanded to include citizens aged between 40 and 45.
It should be noted that China has changed the packaging of its vaccine in response to international demand. The vaccine has gone from a single-dose vial to a vial containing two doses, allowing Morocco to receive one million doses instead of 500,000 doses per shipment, as was the case for deliveries made between January and April.
