Morocco Receives First Million Doses of Chinese Covid-19 Vaccine Ahead of December Campaign

The conditions are being put in place for the effective start of the vaccination campaign scheduled for December. The Chinese laboratory Sinopharm has just delivered to Morocco part of the doses of the Covid-19 vaccine that will be administered to Moroccans.
The rest of the order placed by Morocco, i.e. 10 million doses, should be shipped in the coming weeks to allow the authorities to cope with the number of people planned. According to the daily Assabah, Morocco currently has one million doses of this vaccine which have been stored in a way that maintains the active ingredients intact.
Morocco plans to vaccinate 5 million people in the first phase of this campaign. Initially, it will be priority people who are often at the forefront in the fight against the virus. Then it will be the turn of some 23 million Moroccans. The campaign will take place over 12 weeks and will allow vaccination in two phases and daily of approximately 220,000 people.
