Morocco to Receive 1 Million Sinopharm Vaccine Doses, Expanding Rollout to Ages 25-29

Morocco is expecting to receive a new batch of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine tomorrow, Tuesday. This will allow the kingdom to start vaccinating the 25-29 age group.
Morocco will receive on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, a batch of one million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine, a member of the national vaccination committee told Le360. With this new delivery, the laboratory will have delivered a total of 8.5 million doses to Morocco during the month of July. This new shipment will allow the kingdom to vaccinate people aged between 25 and 29 years old.

On Saturday, Morocco received a donation of 302,004 doses of the Janssen vaccine, produced by Johnson & Johnson as part of the WHO’s Covax program. Morocco will receive an additional 650,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine under the same program.
As of July 25, 11,748,418 people have received the first dose, while 9,797,720 have been injected with both doses.
