Morocco Ranks Among Top Countries for Business Investment, Report Finds
In the latest report published by the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES), Morocco is considered one of the most attractive countries for doing business.
To start an entrepreneurial adventure, the location is an important criterion. In this sense, the Kingdom offers optimal conditions for the success of companies that decide to set up there. According to the IRES report on the evolution of Morocco’s international positioning, Morocco is undeniably one of the "Best Countries for Business", reports La Vie Éco.
This performance is attributable to "a notable improvement in its international positioning under this index," writes the weekly, recalling that the Kingdom has gained no less than 35 places between 2007 and 2019, thanks in particular to the efforts made to improve the general business climate.
In addition, between 2004 and 2020, Morocco has made a leap of 75 places on the "Doing Business" index. This progress was achieved "thanks to the Kingdom’s advances in the areas of business creation, property transfer, loan acquisition, protection of minority investors and cross-border trade," notes the same source.
Another factor playing a decisive role in this positioning is the Global Entrepreneurship Index. The Kingdom occupies the fifth place on the continental scale. According to the authors of the report, this ranking is "favored by Morocco’s ability to develop new products, encourage the emergence of start-ups and integrate the use of new technologies."
