Morocco Ranks 8th Globally for Solo Travel in 2025 Study

A specialized website places Morocco in its ranking of the best destinations in the world for solo travel in 2025. The kingdom outranks France.
Morocco ranks 8th in the ranking of the best destinations in the world for solo travel in 2025, established by travel expert Will Sarson of Riviera Travel. The kingdom owes this position to cities like Marrakech, which the expert describes as "ideal for immersing oneself in Moroccan culture." He also noted that the country has warm-hearted inhabitants. In Marrakech, Will recommends visiting the iconic Jemaa el-Fna square for its food stalls, artisans and lively souks.
Morocco outranks Finland (9th) and France. The latter completes the top 10 of the best destinations in the world for solo travel in 2025. Spain tops the ranking. "Solo travel holidays in Spain are popular because it is a fairly safe country that offers a variety of experiences, from beach vacations in Barcelona to more educational trips to Granada and Seville," comments the travel expert. The Iberian peninsula is followed by the lakes of Italy, Malta, Austria and the cities of Italy. Madeira and Portugal come next.
