Morocco Surges as Top Solo Travel Hotspot, Outpacing Global Destinations

The luxury travel network Virtuoso has unveiled the top 5 lists for each luxury travel category for 2026, as recorded in its 2026 Luxury Report. Morocco ranks sixth in the top 10 "fastest growing" destinations. The kingdom is preceded by Egypt (5th place) and Vietnam (4th place). Antarctica tops the ranking. This destination is followed by Sri Lanka. Norway takes third place. Iceland takes seventh place while the Arctic and Malta (tied) are tied for eighth place. India and Bhutan complete the top 10.

Morocco is also among the 10 most popular solo travel destinations. The kingdom ranks 9th. Japan tops the ranking. It is followed by Italy and Canada. Then come the United Kingdom, Greece and France. Croatia is in seventh place, while New Zealand takes eighth place. Vietnam rounds out the podium.

On the other hand, Morocco is absent from the top 10 most popular global destinations, the ranking of the 10 most popular adventure travel destinations for 2026 and the top 10 most popular honeymoon destinations.
