Marrakech and Agadir Sizzle: Morocco’s Culinary Gems Top MENA Outdoor Dining Destinations

Two Moroccan cities are among the top ten best outdoor dining destinations.
Marrakech ranks second in the ranking of the best outdoor dining destinations in the North Africa and Middle East region, according to the IQOS index. It owes this position to 34.22% of its restaurants offering outdoor spaces and an average annual temperature of 18.02 degrees. In addition to the ochre city, Agadir, another Moroccan city, is also in the top 10. It occupies the sixth place. The capital of Souss seduces with its climate and its terraces by the sea.
Aqaba, in Jordan, tops the ranking of the ten best outdoor dining destinations. Other cities such as Madaba (Jordan), Byblos (Lebanon), Kairouan (Tunisia) or Ras Al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates) are also among the best outdoor dining destinations.
To compile this ranking, IQOS analyzed data from thousands of restaurants in the region. The index took into account several criteria that were defined: the total number of establishments, the proportion of restaurants with outdoor seating, the average annual temperature, and the restaurants/population ratio.
