Marrakech Named Among Top 25 Most Walkable Cities for Tourists in 2025

A specialized platform places a Moroccan city among the most accessible on foot in 2025.
Marrakech ranks 24th in the list of 100 cities in the world to discover on foot, compiled by Guruwalk experts. It stands out for the ordered chaos of its medina, the bustling Jemaa el-Fna market, and the serenity of its secret gardens. "Exploring this city on foot means immersing oneself in a world of colors, exotic scents, and sounds evoking centuries of history," comments the platform for booking free walking tours.
Rome takes the top spot in the ranking. It owes this feat to the Colosseum, its Pantheon, and the baroque squares that make it an open-air museum worthy of being explored in depth, step by step. For GuruWalk, the Eternal City remains a must-visit destination for travelers passionate about ancient history. The Italian city is followed by Budapest, the capital of Hungary, and Madrid (Spain). Prague (Czech Republic) occupies the fourth place, while Barcelona takes the fifth place. Next come Lisbon (Portugal), London (United Kingdom), and Florence (Italy).
Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Berlin (Germany) complete the top 10. Paris ranks 11th. Istanbul (Turkey) secures the 17th place. Burgos (Spain) and Merida (Mexico) complete the top 100 best destinations of the year 2025 to discover on foot.
