Marrakech Ranks 5th in Top Summer Destinations for French Travelers, Study Shows

A Moroccan city appears in the ranking of the 10 most sought-after destinations by French people for this summer.
Marrakech occupies the fifth place in the ranking of the 10 most sought-after destinations by French people for this summer, established by the search engine Kayak. The Moroccan city stands out for the ordered chaos of its medina, the effervescence of the Jamaa el-Fna market, and the serenity of its secret gardens. "Guaranteed sunshine all year round, gardens with a thousand colors, a lively medina... Marrakech never disappoints and thus naturally finds itself in this ranking of the most sought-after destinations for this summer; despite scorching temperatures in July and August," comments Kayak, specifying that the average price of flights to the red city is €235, up 16% year-on-year.
Denpasar (Indonesia) tops the ranking of the 10 most sought-after destinations by French people for this summer. It is followed by Bangkok (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan), and Montreal (Canada). Palma de Mallorca (Spain) takes sixth place, while Ajaccio (France) secures seventh place. Then come Saint-Denis (Réunion) and Lisbon (Portugal). New York (United States) completes the top 10.
