Moroccan Coastal Gem Essaouira Ranks Among Top Retirement Destinations for French Expats

Essaouira ranks sixth in the top 10 best cities to expatriate for retirement, established by the website retraitesansfrontieres.fr. This Moroccan city stands out for its narrow streets, white houses with blue shutters, fishing port, and ancient fortifications... "This city on the Moroccan coast also offers all daily services without the hassles of big cities, traffic jams and air pollution being foremost. Cascais (Portugal) tops the ranking. It is followed by Begur (Spain) and Paros (Greece). Ao Nang (Thailand) takes fourth place. Trou aux biches (Mauritius) takes fifth place, while Houmt Souk (Tunisia) occupies seventh place. Then come Saint-Louis (Senegal) and Ubud (Bali - Indonesia). Boca Chica (Dominican Republic) completes the top 10.
