Morocco Ranks 6th in Top Travel Destinations for French Tourists in 2022

Morocco is among the top 10 most booked destinations in February 2022 by the French. This is the result of the ranking of a specialized website.
According to the Orchestra Barometer, carried out for L’Écho touristique, bookings in February 2022 are up 6% compared to 2019, for all destinations combined. This increase is justified by a more favorable health situation and the gradual lifting of all restrictions in France. But the war in Ukraine could undermine this trend.
Morocco (+7%) ranks 6th in the top 20 most booked destinations in February 2022. Spain (+74%) tops this ranking. It is followed by metropolitan France (+10%), Greece (+21%), the Dominican Republic (+65%) and Tunisia (-29%). Italy (-22%) is in 7th place. Then come Egypt (+6%), Portugal (-13%), Mauritius (+12%), the United Arab Emirates (+109%), Mexico (+46%), the United States (-3%), Tanzania (+276%), Turkey (-2%) and the Maldives (+44%). Martinique (+39%), Croatia (-39%), Guadeloupe (+20%) and Malta (-27%) close the podium.
