Morocco ranked among the safest countries in the world

The Institute for Economics & Peace has evaluated 163 countries in its latest edition. Morocco scored zero out of ten, reflecting an "absence of impact from terrorism". The country thus positions itself around the 100th global rank, consolidating its place among the safest states in the world.

This position of excellence is explained by a measurable reality on the ground: no attack, no human or economic loss has been recorded. The Kingdom thus maintains a "trajectory of constant stability" within a regional space that is nevertheless subject to strong tensions.

This assessment is based on a doctrine combining continuous vigilance, coordination of services and strong international cooperation. Faced with extremists making extensive use of digital technology, this proactive approach has allowed the Ministry of the Interior to dismantle more than 200 cells since 2002, including three in 2025 alone.

The report also notes a historic decline in violence in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2025, attacks there decreased by 56% and victims by 81%. However, this regional improvement masks a shift in the threat to the sub-Saharan Sahel, now described as the "global epicenter of terrorism".
