A Moroccan airport among the best in Africa
Marrakech-Ménara Airport has been named the "best regional airport in Africa" at the 2026 World Airport Awards in London. This international distinction recognizes the modernization strategy undertaken by the National Airports Office (ONDA) to transform the passenger experience.
The ceremony, which took place on March 18th, awarded the Moroccan infrastructure this Skytrax prize for the first time. This global recognition confirms the growing adherence of travelers to the quality of the welcome and services offered within the terminals of the ochre city.

This success is part of the dynamics of the "Airports 2030" strategy. Led by ONDA, this plan aims to strengthen operational efficiency and the modernization of facilities, while relying on close coordination with security services, customs and local authorities.
The ranking is based on a vast international satisfaction survey conducted among passengers of more than 100 nationalities. Between August 2025 and February 2026, the services of more than 565 airports around the world were evaluated to designate the winners of this edition.
