Morocco’s Railway Maintains Vital Freight Transport During State of Emergency

The National Railway Office (ONCF) does not intend to suspend the transport of goods during the confinement period. It intends to remain in harmony with the instructions of the authorities who have decided to continue the circulation of goods and products necessary for the daily life of Moroccans.
In a press release, the ONCF informs citizens that it "makes available all the necessary logistical capacities to transport various goods, including basic products such as cereals, sugar and fuel". It also ensures, through its subsidiary "Carre", the transport of light goods and parcels to various parts of the Kingdom.
The ONCF assures that its teams will ensure that "the transports are carried out in conditions of fluidity from and to the manufacturing centers, the ports and the storage areas on the national territory, with the greatest care and in full compliance with the preventive measures recommended by the competent authorities in terms of hygiene and health safety in order to strengthen the protection of the health of employees and the various stakeholders".
