Researcher at the Italian Institute for International Political Studies, Lorena Stella Martini praises the proactive and "very strict" measures taken by Morocco to fight the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).
In an article published on the Institute’s website, the researcher notes that "the measures taken by Morocco have placed it at the forefront of countries that have adopted significant restrictions" to curb the epidemic. Stella Martini points out that the Moroccan government has taken "strong and progressive" precautionary measures.
She particularly welcomed the decisive and valuable role played by the security forces and the army, who are on the front line of "the mobilization to limit movements within and outside the kingdom".
For her, "the positive management of the health emergency decided by Morocco will also be an opportunity for the country to "confirm its status as a leader on the African continent".
