Morocco: Police Hunt Suspect in High School Girls’ Photo Leak Scandal

To their great surprise, young high school and middle school girls enrolled in the Spanish mission in Rabat discovered the publication of their intimate photos on an anonymous social media account on Instagram, reports Al Akhbar. According to the same source, the author of this publication, not yet identified, would have hacked the Facebook pages of these students.

Since national and foreign schools in Morocco are closed during this confinement period, an individual would have created a fake Instagram account in order to hack the personal data of these students. He then widely disseminated them; which constitutes a flagrant violation of the law.

Outraged, a group of parents and the Spanish mission have seized the justice system to identify the individual behind this fake account. For its part, the police have opened an investigation to shed light on this case. The hacker would be an individual working for the mission.
