Moroccan Man Jailed for 3 Years After Sharing Wife’s Intimate Photos Online
A man was sentenced to 3 years in prison by the court of first instance of Oujda. He is accused of disseminating intimate photos of his wife on social networks.
It all started with the discovery by the woman of her intimate photos on social networks. She had authorized her husband to close all her accounts by giving him her password. Instead, he had continued to use them without her knowledge. He even engaged in private discussions with other people under his wife’s profile, reports Al massae.
Worse, he is said to have violently assaulted his wife when she tried to find out more. He went further by threatening to release more photos if she tried to denounce him. This was without counting on the determination of the woman to obtain justice. She filed a complaint with the judicial authorities against her husband.
In addition to the custodial sentences, the husband was also fined 80,000 dirhams, in accordance with the provisions of the law on the protection of personal data.
