Morocco Police Arrest Four Suspects in Expatriate Home Burglary Case

The day after the release of a video showing the damage and thefts suffered at the home of a Moroccan living abroad, the police have just announced several arrests.
"The judicial police brigade of Sidi Kacem brought, on Friday, before the prosecutor’s office, four individuals, including three minors, for their alleged involvement in a criminal network implicated in a case of burglary targeting a residence belonging to a Moroccan residing abroad (MRE)," says the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a statement.
The police had been alerted on December 31 by a neighbor who had discovered the door of the MRE’s home open, the DGSN says, noting that "the owner of the residence was notified and the security services inspected the premises and carried out the necessary technical expertise."
The investigation led to the arrest of four individuals, including three minors, while a fifth individual was still in custody on Saturday.
And to recall that the theft had been the subject "of a video relayed on instant messaging applications on mobile phones, including statements from the owner of the residence."
