Morocco’s PJD Party Urges Suspension of Ties with Israel After Gaza Airstrikes

The Party of Justice and Development (PJD) has strongly condemned the air strikes carried out by Israel in the besieged Gaza Strip, calling on Morocco to suspend the normalization of relations with the Hebrew state.
On Friday, at least ten Palestinians were killed, including a 5-year-old girl, and 75 others were injured in an intense Israeli bombardment against the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), an Islamist organization active in the Gaza Strip, according to Gaza health authorities.
For the Islamist party, Morocco contributes to these Israeli aggressions against the Palestinians. According to the office, the resumption of relations with the kingdom has encouraged Tel Aviv to carry out its assault in this region. This is why the party demands that the Moroccan authorities suspend the normalization process, to avoid emboldening Israeli attacks.
Furthermore, the PJD also called on the international community to put an end to the "horrors of the occupation, killings, displacements and apartheid to which the Palestinians are subjected before the eyes and ears of the world." And to add that the "dangers of Zionist crimes" go against the achievement of world peace and stability.
