Morocco’s Perfect World Cup Qualifying Run Earns FIFA Praise
Six games, six wins. The Atlas Lions have had a flawless run during the group stage of the 2022 World Cup Qatar qualifiers. The performance of the national team did not escape FIFA, which sent its congratulations to Vahid Halilhodzic and his men.
"Wonderful Moroccans" headlined FIFA to describe the Atlas Lions’ perfect record in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Qatar. "Wonderful Moroccans. With as many matches as wins, Achraf Hakimi and his teammates finished first in Group I with 18 points. Morocco hopes to shine in the playoffs. It will have to face one of the qualified countries, which are Egypt, Mali, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo or Ghana, next March.
