Morocco Faces Tough Test Against DR Congo in World Cup 2022 Qualifier Playoffs

The Atlas Lions will face the Democratic Republic of Congo for the third round of the Africa Zone qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. A seemingly playable team, but caution must remain.
Morocco will face the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for the World Cup 2022 playoffs. An opponent that is not to be feared a priori, but to be taken seriously nonetheless, reports the daily Assabah, recalling that even if the DRC failed to qualify for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, it remains a difficult opponent to beat.

In the past, the confrontations between the two teams have always been very tough. Out of thirteen matches, Morocco and the DRC have drawn six matches and Morocco has won four matches against three for the DRC, the same source specifies.
The Democratic Republic of Congo will host Morocco for the first leg of the World Cup 2022 playoffs on March 23, before traveling to Morocco for the return leg scheduled for March 29. As part of these playoffs, Algeria will face Cameroon, Nigeria will face Ghana, Egypt will face Senegal and Tunisia will face Mali.
