Morocco’s Passport Ranking Climbs 6 Spots in Global Index

Morocco has improved its position in the ranking of the best passports established by an offshore consulting firm, gaining six places.
The offshore consulting firm, Nomad Capitalist, has released its ranking of the best passports taking into account five criteria: ease of visa-free travel, taxation for citizens, dual nationality possibilities, personal freedom and global perception. The Moroccan passport has improved its position, occupying this year the 128th place out of 199 with a total score of 51.50 against the 134th position in the previous ranking.
With a total score of 110.50, the United Arab Emirates enters the top 10 for the first time and rises to first place against 35th place in 2022. This is due to "rapid progress due to recent legislative changes allowing foreigners to obtain dual nationality, combined with the freedom to travel offered by their passport, a business-friendly environment and an attractive tax system."
With a total score of 108.00, Luxembourg, number 1 in the ranking for two years, has fallen to second place. A position it shares with Switzerland, which obtained the same score.
