Morocco’s Passport Climbs to 69th in Global Ranking

Morocco holds the 69th most powerful passport in the world, according to the 2025 Henley Passport Index of the Henley & Partners firm. The Moroccan passport thus gains two places, after having occupied the 71st place last year and the 80th in 2023.
According to this index, which ranks the passports of 199 countries based on the destinations they provide visa-free access to, and based on official data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Moroccan passport is the 69th most powerful in the world in 2025, with visa-free access to 73 destinations. The kingdom’s passport thus gains two places in this global ranking, after being ranked 71st in 2024 and 80th in 2023.
Singapore holds the world’s most powerful passport with 195 visa-free destinations. It is followed by Japan with 193 visa-free destinations. Third place is occupied by France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland and South Korea. In fourth position, we find Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland and the United Kingdom close the Top 5.
Australia (6th with 189 destinations), Canada (7th with 188 destinations), the United States (9th with 186 destinations) and the United Arab Emirates (10th with 185 destinations) follow. In North Africa, the Moroccan passport takes first place, ahead of Tunisia (73rd with 69 visa-free destinations), Mauritania (84th, 58 destinations), Algeria (86th, 56 destinations), Egypt (90th, 52 destinations) and Libya (100th, 40 destinations).
