Morocco’s Passport Power Surges: Climbs 10 Spots in Global Ranking

The Moroccan passport has risen to the 69th place in the ranking of the most powerful passports in the world, gaining 10 places.
According to this ranking by the British firm Henley & Partners, the Moroccan passport has moved from 79th place worldwide out of 199 countries to 69th place worldwide out of 95 countries and thus offers Moroccans the possibility to travel to 67 countries without a visa or with a visa on arrival (27 countries without a visa and 39 with a visa on arrival) compared to 64 destinations without a visa previously.

The Emirati passport tops the ranking and provides visa-free access to 162 countries. It is followed by those of Sweden, Finland and Italy (2nd place worldwide with 159 destinations) and Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Luxembourg and France (3rd place worldwide). Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, the United States and New Zealand occupy the fourth place with a mobility score of 157 countries. Singapore, Malta, Norway, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia complete the top 5 with a total of 156 destinations.
