Morocco’s Passport Climbs Global Rankings, Now Offers Visa-Free Travel to 65 Countries

The Moroccan passport has gained 3 points in the annual ranking of the most powerful passports in the world, thus improving its international ranking.
According to the recent ranking established by the British firm Henley & Partners, the Moroccan passport is positioned in the 82nd place worldwide out of 112, thus offering the possibility for its holders to travel to 65 countries without a visa.
This performance remains however below the general average of mobility, points out the firm, adding that with this position, Morocco thus occupies the same rank as Ghana and Cuba.
At the regional level, Algeria is far behind Morocco by positioning itself in the 94th place with 53 destinations. The Tunisian passport occupies the 77th place and allows Tunisians to travel to 71 countries without a visa. As for the Mauritanian passport, it occupies the 87th place and allows to travel to 60 countries without a visa.
Globally, Japan is at the top of the ranking according to The Henley Passport Index with access to 193 countries without a visa. In second place are 2 countries, namely Singapore and South Korea. The passports of these two countries allow their nationals to access 192 countries without a visa. In 3rd place worldwide are Germany and Spain with access to 190 countries.
