Morocco’s PAM Party Poised to Secure 5 Cabinet Positions in New Government

Faced with the endless wait for the formation of the new government, indiscretions are multiplying. It is learned that the PAM, the main ally of the RNI, could be allocated 5 ministerial portfolios.
According to the daily Assabah, which cites sources close to the party leadership, the negotiations for the government coalition are almost finished. The PAM, which should logically enter the government, could even be awarded five ministerial posts, the newspaper specifies.
Among the entries are the party’s secretary general, Abdellatif Ouahbi himself, Fatima-Zahra Mansouri who has also just won her seat as mayor of Marrakech, and Mehdi Bensaid. The identity of the other two "potential ministers" remains unknown for the time being, the newspaper indicates.
As for the ministerial positions, the PAM’s secretary general should be at the head of the Ministry of Justice, Fatima-Zahra Mansouri the portfolio of Housing and Urban Policy, and Mehdi Bensaid is strongly tipped to become the new Minister of Youth and Sports.
