Morocco’s En-Nesyri Doubtful for AFCON Opener Due to Leg Injury

Will Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri be able to participate in the AFCON Cameroon 2022? Despite his presence in Cameroon, the Sevilla player would still be injured and unfit to play the first two matches of the Atlas Lions. Bad news for both the player, the team and Vahid Halilhodzic.
While he had just returned from a long absence due to injury, Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri has contracted another injury. He will not be able to start the competition with his teammates. According to sources close to the technical staff, the player is suffering from a leg injury.
Vahid Halilhodzic will have to replace him for the next two national team matches against Ghana on January 10 and the Comoros on January 14. If he feels ready, he can join his teammates for the last group stage match. This will be against Gabon on January 18. But it’s not a sure thing.
